Ken Clarke, "Politically you can't rejoin the European Union at the moment it would cause its own nightmare, divisions and crisis"

"Brexit is doing damage to our economy"

"The time has come to rejoin the Customs Union and the EU Single Market would be a huge, huge advantage to us"

Mogg to advise Farage on ‘how to govern’. He spent just 3 years in government, 2.5 of which were being a court jester Leader of the House, not exactly a great office of state, then the absurd Minister for Brexit Opportunities, then 49 days at Business.

He then lost his seat. 🤦🏻‍♂️

This.
Thankyou. I am a British immigrant in France, and meeting non-British immigrants here is really humbling. Generally they are fluent in several languages, hard working, and well educated. It's the Brits who don't mix, don't learn the language, are loud, disrespectful, and arrogant.

A total disgrace of a paper.
A total disgrace of a man.

I would worry for Jenrick’s daughters too, being brought up by a hate-mongering opportunist, driven mad by Tory failure and now desperate to whip up prejudice, division and social unrest in his vile pursuit of power.

All of this...
I’m angry that we’re once again travelling along the Mobius Strip that is the immigration “debate”

Round and round we go forever, while the country rots and the fascists wait for their turn

Without a sea change in the attitude of media and politicians we are beyond hope, and that will never happen
"I know you're angry about immigration" says Starmer on Twitter.

No. I am supernova furious at your casual assumption that everyone in the UK is an intolerant racist. And that therefore it's fine to treat immigrants like dirt because you're in tune with the prevailing mood.

Get in the bin.

Well done Labour

Anyone who thought you represented real change now despises you.

Anyone who didn’t, still won’t.

People who weren’t that convinced but hoped for the best are out of patience.

You’ve managed to turn off everyone.

Quite the achievement!

"England needs to crawl back OUT of its Farage rabbit hole, not dig itself deeper down!"

100%
FFS! Blue Labour have lost the plot! We NEED foreign carers. And because Brexit stopped them coming from Europe, the ones who DO come need to be able to bring their family. England needs to crawl back OUT of its Farage rabbit hole, not dig itself deeper down!

Actually staggering that this foghorn of failure should continue to speak in public, let alone consider himself entitled to comment on what Labour may or may not renegotiate on HIS unforgivably dismal, relentlessly crappy Brexit deal.
Unless he’s apologising for that, he can stfu forever, frankly.

If it takes 10 years to rejoin the EU, then if we start today, we'll be back in 10 years. But if we wait a decade, it will take 20 years.

Except that it won't, because we will have had 10 more years of diverging. So it might take a quarter of a century.

Start today please. We owe it to the future.

The Tories won’t want to hear this.

They accuse Labour of “giving away British assets” over the Chagos Islands and Elgin Marbles – yet they’ve been selling off crown jewels for decades.

Here are 8 things the Tories flogged (and the damage it caused):

Ugh. Just look at this band of v dismal Tories, grabbing the stage at the farmers’ “rally”. The same people who limited our rights to protest, betrayed farmers with their Brexit lies and then shafted them with their idiotic replacement trade deals.
A photo op of pure hypocrisy and bullshit concern.
