There's literally a Love Boat episode from 1982 about a guy accepting his friend who's had gender reassignment surgery. The Jeffersons had one in 1977. This was on network TV over 40 years ago! And yet a huge swath of Boomers are out here like "p-p-p-pronouns???"

About two weeks into our relationship my wife and I found out to our joy that we could both quote the MST3K movie almost in its entirety. Fifteen years later and we're still constantly describing things as "just like your Earth insects... larger, of course" and shouting "NORMAL VIEWWWWWWWWW!!!!!"
Does anyone else have an MST3K line they use regularly, even if it makes no sense out of context?
Because I have both "That'll keep your panfish down for a while." and "Come come, boys, we must confound Jerry at every turn!" from MST3K the movie alone.

I didn't know shit from shineola when I was making my first short, and my DP Tyler Russell impressed upon me that the number one question re: where to put the camera was "who are we identifying with?"
I think that's a bit reductive now but also you could do worse as north stars go.
