Poll: 8 in 10 Brits would support the UK generating more energy by expanding the UK’s renewable energy infrastructure, including nearly two thirds (65%) of Reform supporters.

The new YouGov survey for Friends of the Earth also finds broad public support for fair climate policies.

A great show of community strength against far-right hate on Saturday in Aldershot. 70 people including trade unions, faith groups, community groups and organisations joined Rushmoor SUTR and Rushmoor United to counter the far-right demo targeting asylum seekers in a local hotel.

We are proud to be a trans-inclusive organisation, and believe that we cannot fight for a greener and fairer world if gender diverse and intersex people are left behind. Securing a better future for all starts by ensuring people can live with autonomy, safety and joy, no matter their identity.

“While travelling to the area on the fifth day we encountered hundreds of civilians fleeing under gunfire,” Whittall said. “We witnessed a woman shot in the back of the head. When a young man tried to retrieve her, he too was shot. We were able to recover her body using our UN vehicle.”

“No-one has been arrested in a Quaker meeting house in living memory.

This aggressive violation of our place of worship and the forceful removal of young people holding a protest group meeting clearly shows what happens when a society criminalises protest."
🚨 Outrage as 20 police officers break into Westminster Quaker Meeting House and arrest six. 🚨
This shocking violation of a place of worship is a direct result of crackdowns on protest and dissent - freedom of speech, assembly and democracy are at risk.🕊️

@samfr.bsky.social Failed State got a mention in the Brighton & Hove council meeting discussing devolution
We are now on the report and Cllr Jacob Taylor who thanks the Green councillors for their points.

He recommends the book Failed State which discusses why governments of every colour have struggled with elements of policy implementations. Central government tries to do too much #LDreporter
