I just read the incredibly short 6th Cir opinion striking down the FCC net neutrality rule. Discussion of net neutrality (and telecommunications law) can get so technical it is hard for non-experts to evaluate but this opinion struck me as bananas.

There is a LOT happening today BUT this...this is significant too. #netneutrality
The U.S. Court of Appeals for the 6th Circuit struck down the FCC’s “net neutrality” rules governing internet service providers, in an early policy win for Republicans seeking to reverse Biden-era industry regulation.
In blow to Democrats, federal appeals court strikes down net neutrality
The Biden administration’s FCC had considered its reinstatement of the rules on internet service providers a signature accomplishment.

a useful thing to ask is how specifically does a rule or regulation or order go from issuance to implementation. for instance, trump has said that he will issue an executive order denying birth certificates and SSNs to the children of undocumented immigrants. okay. what happens next?
