You are being lied to about Universal Basic Income.

AI & robotics companies say that massive job losses from automation won't be a concern because we will have such abundance that everyone can be given a UBI. This is a dangerous fantasy. The masses will instead be left to die. Here is why:

If even half of what Sarah Williams shares about Facebook in her book ‘Careless people’ is true, then Mark Zuckerberg and a lot of the senior leadership at Facebook needs to be put behind bars.

January 2025 was quite unexpectedly the warmest January on record at 1.75C above preindustrial, beating the prior record set in 2024.

This is despite the presence of La Niña conditions in the tropical Pacific, with the El Niño event of 2023/2024 long faded. www.theclimatebrink....

Carl Sagan is peerless. I am reading his novel ‘Contact’ & am continuously blown away by how many things he has an effortless command of- astronomy, electrical engineering, physics, language, beauty, connection, human relationships, humour, hubris, gender discrimination. The list goes on and on.
