When I read this sort of language from senior people in the US administration it seems screamingly clear to me that the future of the UK is with our European family, America no longer have our back.

Human rights are universal - if we start stripping away basic human rights from any section of society then none of us has rights – just privileges that can be taken away by people in power whenever they want. Would we really want to take that path?
