One day, we will have a geomagnetic storm so massive that it destroys Starlink satellites and sets data centers on fire. And then we'll party in the streets under the most epic aurora.

parents are organically mass mobilizing ice watches in our town because schools are being targeted. say what you will about portland but as usual nobody pays attention to anything past 60th street

it reminds me of a moment in Portland when there were 10,000 plus people outside the county jail. can you comprehend what could have been done? but we are so brainwashed, so precious, so scared to risk anything, that nothing of consequence happened at all.

ok I cannot condone the jazzercise spectacle that’s so distasteful
will go on to say that I 100% support the folks protesting outside the facility, altho personally I think the tactic is more risk than it’s worth & put effort elsewhere. rapid response networks are building across the city & all fronts are a net good imo
ok so we have inflatable party costumes & sandwhich guy as the offensive to the rogue secret police force that’s kidnapping and disappearing people. and we’re all satisfied with this?

new: at least 26 unhoused chicagoans have been abducted since the start of "operation midway blitz."

the full scope of people disappeared is likely much larger but is obscured by heavy criminalization, social stigma, and fewer eyes and phones around to bear witness.

which villages matter? taking down a killer cop is literally defending a community where the cop is literally materially on a daily basis policing people who live there. we don’t need to deal in metaphors.

Crime and punishment in Luigi Mangione’s America
The American culture of believing in folk-heroes has afforded Luigi Mangione an almost mythological status rife with revolutionary adoration, Eisenberg writes.

SO LONG AS prisons exist. understanding that crime is a designation by the state that can be wielded against anyone as the state determines, as long as we fail to have solidarity with those incarcerated & locate prison abolition as the fulcrum of our goals, we will fall short.
