Ren can be a mean lil pos, and honestly girl, go for it. Idk how they manage it, but they have enough people in their orbit to lose a few and still be way above the Faerun national average friend count (something something innocent charm and buoyant hypeman-ism 😇)

Diamondback Squids (Thysanoteuthis rhombus) lay their eggs in giant pink coils that can contain 35,000 to 75,000 eggs.

There was a time when Ren had lost the pain associated with memories of past experiences. They'd recall an incident as if watching a film through a glass window and not feel anything, and wonder if it had really happened to them.
Other than that, they see past suffering as a well of experience and vital to survival. It was pain that taught them who/what was dangerous, absent the ability to feel fear. It's a reminder of death, and, therefore life.
They'll happily heal others as the party bard, if the cleric is out of action.
