Turned into a driveway with a huge sign facing the road that said "Big Sale" and...I've never felt more like a character in a horror movie. Also, no one else was there. No customers, no one to pay. Books were $1 but I didn't find anything. We left pretty quickly 🤣

Finding your tribe can be heartbreaking, frustrating, and infuriating. But once you find those few that stick, it makes all the difference.

One of those weeks where I want the ability to pop open my skull, rinse my brain with bleach, and not think about anything for just a few minutes.

And it's only Monday....

I listened to Come With Me by Ronald Malfi , narrated by Joe Hempel

Fantastic book, and Hempel knocked it out of the park with his narration! I'm excited that his company Fright Night Audio is producing the audiobook of Parachute for me. :)

I'll be writing my very first foreword for a horror anthology soon and I'm so honored and (to use a British term) chuffed and also a tad terrified I'll fuck it all up or sound like an idiot.

I think I'm more productive when I'm busy. When I only have 30 minutes here and there to write, I'm knocking it out. As opposed to a completely free weekend where I never even open the document...

What's that saying..."If you want something done, give it to a busy person" 🤣

I had THE BEST time yesterday at a book fair in Houston! If only I could bottle this feeling and sniff it every day, it would be much easier on my wallet.

Saw The Meg 2.....

Stretched suspension of disbelief entirely too far and ended up being a Journey to the Center of the Earth meets Sharknado 🤣 BUT I'm still glad I saw it. Much like bad sex is still better than no sex, a bad shark movie is still a good thing.
