Should we meet our Crowdfunding goal, we expect to produce 25 or more new digital stories in 2025. Although housed at UC Davis, we have no institutional budget and will therefore appreciate any support you may offer.

This Crowdfunding campaign will cover costs to send a team of UC Davis faculty and graduate students to the US Mexico border in the summer of 2025 to record stories of migrants, and report, from the ground, on the human consequences of evolving immigrant laws and policies.

With immigration issues coming to a boiling point, and a new presidential administration announcing harsh new immigration policies, Humanizing Deportation is in a unique position to discover and disseminate how government actions are impacting the lives of migrants.
