Guess I'm here now.
Apparently people are saying that which side you wear your carabiner says if you’re a top or bottom and I think that’s really insensitive to dykes who can’t keep track of right and left

The reasons i’ve felt unsafe in dc are from drivers, rats, and a lack of covid precautions. I’ve felt scared for other people’s safety, but only because of the cops or because they had no homes.

We are seeing in real time why DC needs the full power and protection of statehood.

Deploying the National Guard to a state without a request from state leaders is unlawful.

The fact that he could do it in the capital city is a massive vulnerability to our entire national democracy.
DC statehood shows Dem weakness goes back a while.

Occasional lip service, but barely even that, and effectively took the stance that hundreds of thousands of US citizens should be disenfranchised because it’s unfair that they’d elect Dem Senators, which would make the Senate less disproportionate.

Just saw someone call the military occupation of DC a distraction, and that’s it, the it’s a distraction people have lost it. We should wait until the bulldozer is running over your house and all chime in with “isn’t there something else we should be talking about”

We could have had cancer vaccines, and instead the United States will contribute nothing whatsoever to mRNA research, condemning millions of people worldwide to unnecessary illness and death
WASHINGTON (AP) — Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. announces he will cancel $500 million in vaccine development projects.

Washington, D.C., has a population roughly equivalent to Alaska's.

And it has zero senators. If D.C. had senators, the GOP megablil bill would have failed today.

Instead, Murkowski got carve-outs and money for Alaska, and then voted to subject DC to the bill

I would love to see Dems introducing articles of impeachment every time he does a new impeachable thing, i.e. every couple weeks. Why should Republicans be the only ones who can introduce unpassable bills just to send a message
People said that the MAGA Murder Budget was better to focus attention on than impeachment because it was more likely to flip Republicans.

But this makes zero sense because the two Republicans who already supported impeachment in 2021 voted for the MAGA Murder Bill.

I agree, and same goes for anti maskers. If you’re not masking right now during an ongoing pandemic you should feel shame. In a just world you’d be socially ostracized for cavalierly killing and disabling people.
The narrative that anti-vaxxers or QAnon weirdos will come back from the brink if we're nice enough to them isn't tenable morally and doesn't hold up empirically. Ostracizing people whose beliefs harm others is a critical aspect of a functioning marketplace of ideas.

i do think this rise of anti-trans discrimination in the post-YouTube era should make queer activists reevaluate the politics of visibility. information and "own voices" about trans people are readily accessible; discrimination was never a matter of unintentional ignorance but of malice aforethought

Thinking about how selfies & social media imagery are ultimately a form of self portraiture and also break so so fully from the traditional vibes of self portraiture. From an art historical lens, it is quite new for women to be creating sexy images of themselves and I don’t know how to feel about it
