Part of the hiatus was digging into winter, feeling antisocial in both digital and real life. But am back now, following my own advice - making soup, rugging up for wintry walks and taking vitamin D. What gets you over the winter hump? gillstannard.com.au/2025/07/07/o...

Have had a bit of a hiatus on this platform. First a month or so having an Indonesian Odyssey, then returning to a Sydney winter and readjusting to post tropical holiday life. Just discovered a stack of new followers while I was elsewhere - thank you so much.

This early 18th century herbal notebook is a very #PopularItem in our collection. It has cures for everything from hiccups to the plague (and the odd cake recipe too). It's also shrouded in mystery - who was the author?!

What's it like being a naturopath in the chemo chair? Despite 11 yrs since tx and actually 'surviving', it feels incredibly raw listening to the ReMe podcast interview! Thanks Luanfor your powerful podcast and allowing me to be vulnerable.

Love this!
I would like to see more nuanced representations of cancer in popular culture.

The rules of the Gullen Test are:
1. The person with cancer talks about something that is not cancer
2. The person with cancer does not die of cancer

Tis the season.
Last year I swapped Easter for Songkran in Thailand and stashed a dozen hot cross buns in the freezer for winter. Excellent idea ...and so the bun freezing season begins!
