Our first commercial facility development is in full swing, and in about a few years time the world will see its first biochar shipments at scale serving the horticultural (greenhouse) sector! Time to pave the way for more sustainable food growing and clean energy generation. 📈 #carboculture #arcmm

This is why we need a portfolio of approaches. No silver bullets here.
Which is why we need biochar: it's safe, much cheaper, and a removal with abundant storage capacity.

Many reasons, some negative: industry offshoring etc, but cheap renewables, electrification and efficiency are a solid investment for 🌍 & 💶.

Why other forms of generation are needed in the mix. Bio-based gases, and excess heat used from all sources. This will take effort to fix but the result will yield a robust, domestic, clean and cheaper energy supply in the end. Worth the work!
I cannot stress enough that this is not an end-state. This is a transition and we are at the awkward, ill-fitting teenage stage of that transition in electricity markets. Things are changing fast and this will soon pass.
Natural #gas is becoming the undisputed king of Europe’s power markets: Two trends are to blame: Europe’s “growing renewable capacity and the retirement of #coalpower plants".

A really good post by ex CEO of Nori, Paul Gambill, about what's wrong with the carbon removal market as it stands. It wont scale like this. Hint: a few companies deciding what good looks like, obsession of perfection when we haven't gotten any tonnage out, etc.

For those that welcome progress - let's use relatable language that makes
common sense, and accept that reality is messy.
