A reminder to look for those seasonal LLC text drivers as well as topic/inquiry linked books. How amazing to have a Mother’s Day ‘crayons’ book!

I worked with a wonderful school today who spoke so highly of this book for use as a class reader - Y5/6. I’m adding it to my ‘read soon’ list!

Wow! What a brilliant model of the writing process! 🥳
For anyone who's read VARJAK PAW and wants to know how it was written - or anyone interested in the #writing process - here's a free resource I made for the British Library, sharing pages from 7 different drafts. You can have a lot of fun showing this to a class!

Another seasonal favourite/recommendation from me. This book explores the real meaning of Christmas as well as the concept of homelessness which is ever present. I’ve had wonderful discussion and drama in role with pupils selling ‘wonky’ trees as tree sellers!

I post a lot about books! I love using seasonal texts with schools. This is possibly one of my favourite versions of a ‘classic’ Christmas one. The illustrations are dark and divine! Ps My first post on Bluesky! 🥳
