Saturday was a rainy day, but I still had a great time at Lummi Island Saturday Market. It literally started raining the moment I drove onto the ferry, and it didn't stop until I was on the ferry back. 😂🤦‍♀️ Oh, well.

Handcrafted and poured by hand, Hayes Street Candle Company soy wax candles are available at pop-up events and online. In this photo, the candles are stacked in an eye-pleasing way with some greenery behind them. Some of the jars have straight sides, others are in apothecary jars, and some are square. A basket of birch bark log slice coasters. This is another business of Margie's called Log Slices by Margie. During the holidays, she offers Christmas ornaments in addition to soy wax candles. There are many scents to choose from, including Frasier Fir, Fresh Coffee, Smoky Rose, Red Apple Bliss, Sweet Vanilla Cream, and Bohemian Rose, plus many more. Margie's favorite color is purple, which she incorporates into her craft booth display. On the car left, a purple umbrella is open over the chair. That's because Margie discovered a small leak in her E-Z Up canopy on Saturday. Thank goodness she had this umbrella in her car! New soy wax candle scents available from Hayes Street Candle Company on display at an event near Bellingham, WA, at a market in May 2025. The candles pictured are Olive and Bergamot, Smoky Rose, and Matcha Musk. Margie is not a fan of using dyes in the wax so she uses colored jars to add some variety to the display. The candles in the center (Smoky Rose) are in black jars with white labels. There is a small birch branch with chalkboard paint on it reading NEW bear the 14 candles pictured. They are resting in a vintage brick mold display. The background is a white sidewall.
