I didn't really see Paul Dano in much until The Batman. Enjoying seeing all the love he's getting after Tarantino's little rant. I've enjoyed some of his movies but the man has always given me the creeps.

Hot take that shouldn't be a hot take- Whether you've read 1 book this year or 500, no one should be shitting on nyone for the number of books they read in a year. No one should be turning their nose up at someone who read a significantly lower or higher number of books than they did.

Every time I avoid opening any social media apps for a day or two, I find that I end up spending a while catching up on multiple shitstorms that have taken place in those 24-48 hours... 🫣

One of my recent rewatches is Scrubs and one of the things I find ironic about anything unisex JD uses actually being quite feminine is that generally unisex products tend to be produced closer to the male standard of whatever the thing is.

Recently came across "stab it, strangle it, rip out its guts" as a knitting thing to remember the technique which didn't make sense at first but then I picked up my own knitting today and can't help repeat it in my head because it makes SO MUCH SENSE 🤣😭

If more people understood that feminism as we know it today was in its infancy in the early 1800s, I think we'd have fewer "GDTs Frankenstein is not a feminist movie" takes. You don't even have to know who Mary Shelley's mother was, just a basic understanding of the history of feminism.

After 20 years of being a Doctor Who fan, I've only recently found out that Freema Agyeman is half Kurdish because my sister looked up her background while watching New Amsterdam 🤯

Every time I get my knitting needles out, I can't help but think of an episode of CSI (I forget which one) where the murder victim was pushed off a balcony and was impaled by her own knitting needles sticking out of her handbag 😵🧶

The headline I am so unexpectedly happy at seeing 😭🤭 I really don't think I'll watch these last two seasons, the show lost my full interest a while ago.

I'm doing a buddy read with a friend of the entire Psy-Changeling and Psy-Changeling Trinity series, and have just now discovered in Ocean Light - THE 17TH BOOK OVERALL - that they have swimming goggles that are BASICALLY CONTACT LENSES!!! This needs to be a reality!!

Here's the thing about allowing CHatGPT to write around just 5% of a novel being published - where does it stop? When does 5% become 10% become 20% become 50% and the entire book? When you allow a little, there'll always be someone pushing for a little more.

Sympathy Tower Tokyo attracted controversy for being partly written using AI. Does its author think the technology could write a better novel than a human?

Every time I see articles about The Witcher with Liam Hemsworth as Geralt, I can't help but see it as a spoof movie version like Epic Movie or Vampires Suck.

After avoiding books, movies, and other media that start with the women in refrigerators trope, I was pleasantly surprised to see it flipped completely at the start of The Shadow of the Gods by John Gwynne. We got the husband killed, the son kidnapped, and the mother on a journey killing everyone...

Occasionally I read a review from The Guardian, and I don't think much of it. This time, I think the reviewer either didn't like the original work or didn't read it because everything in this review is just nitpicking at book accurate content adapted to the show 🤦‍♀️

The Count of Monte Cristo review – you’ll have to pause every 45 seconds to shake your head at its daftness
Jeremy Irons and Sam Claflin star in this extraordinary adaptation of Alexandre Dumas’ ludicrous 1844 novel. It’s full of howlers, wooden acting and terrible dialogue, but at points it’s so bad it’s f...

Boilers should be replaced every 10-15 yrs yet our local council refuses to replace our 18+ year old boiler and won't fix it until Monday though we've been left with no hot water since last night. Not the first time we've had to wait for repairs on something that should have been replaced years ago.

Having two Lidls within a 20 minute walk from home on mornings I wake up early enough with the energy to go for fresh pastries is too much temptation. Especially since I get a 15% off voucher through the app basically every week 😍🤤

With all these Snow White adaptation comparisons, I don't think I've ever seen Snow White: The Fairest of Them All with Kristin Kreuk and Miranda Richardson come up. This was the first live action Snow White I watched and is probably the most underrated.

The Spotify daylights are great for finding new music similar to what I've been listening to and until today's I completely forgot that Jeremy Renner released a couple of decent albums in the last few years.

So far, whenever I've played the Discworld audiobooks out loud, there hasn't been anything that would be awkward if someone walked in midway. Until a moment in The Light Fantastic when Rincewind is thinking about how an orgasm feels and my dad walked into the kitchen... 🤦‍♀️

Did not expect Injustice 2 Vol. 4 to start with Bruce trying to figure out who will take the puppy he saved from a town that was obliterated 🥺 Also, I love the Injustice universe version of Batman and Harley Quinn's relationship 🥹

You're telling me that Alan Moore, the writer who has rightfully been mad at every adaptation of his work, is genuinely happy with an upcoming adaptation of his latest novel? Never thought I'd see this happen!
