The inpatient ward at the Marie Curie hospice in south Liverpool has been closed since July and staff fear it will never reopen.

Workers told us people are suffering painful deaths while there is no hospice serving the entire south of the city.

Flood events in one part of Merseyside rose by more than 70% last year while av. rainfall in Sept increased by 150-200%

The most significant event occurred on Sept 30 when heavy rain contributed to a failure in the combined sewer system and resulted in severe flooding
