Very sorry to hear that the great Danny Thompson has passed away. That’s his soulful double bass playing that you can hear on ‘Must I Paint You A Picture’ and ‘Valentines Day Is Over’. Rest in peace big fella. www.theguardian.com/music/2025/s...
From Kate Bush to Pentangle to T-Rex, the late Danny Thompson’s musical brilliance knew no bounds
The bassist, who has died aged 86, was an extraordinary and wildly versatile presence in British music, bringing his personality into everything he played

The Conservatives governed for the ultra-rich.

They left millions in poverty and reliant on foodbanks.

The system is broken, particularly for disabled people.

More benefits cuts are not the solution.

Disabled people deserve dignity, not destitution.

MPs must vote NO.

Harvard Law’s Magna Carta ‘copy’ is actually rare relic, researchers say
Harvard’s law school library paid $27.50 in 1946 to acquire what was billed as a “somewhat rubbed and damp-stained” copy of the Magna Carta from 1327 to add to its robust collection of medieval texts.

Crazy day at work and I don’t care that I’ve posted this before; I need cheering up.

So here’s a mosaic of a rabbit driving a chariot pulled by ducks.

Good day to you all.

🚑 Time to recognise paramedics as an official emergency service.

Paramedics face immense stress yet lack official emergency service recognition. It’s time for fair rights, benefits and retirement protections.

Friends, may I point you at these #ebook bundles? We could use some sales just now. 🙂 And if you’re not interested, might I ask you to reskeet this so that others who might be interested can see? Thanks! ❤️ www.tumblr.com/dduane/77511... #ebooksky #booksky
Just mentioning again...
...that all the prices on our Ebooks Direct ebook bundles are still holding at Black Friday levels (pretty much 50% off, and in some cases more...), because frankly I think everybody can use a little…
