Privatized UK utility companies aren’t just greedy. They’re insensitive too. My late mother’s gas and electricity provider keeps writing to her, handily putting ‘(deceased)’ after her name on the bill. I asked them to use my details instead and they said ‘only with the account holder’s permission’.
