There’s also the eagerness to find more and more opportunities to declare whatevs a national emergency and/or threat to national security. I wonder why?
There’s also a zero percent chance the real number is 3 trillion
So he’s saying all the tariff money we took in is gone and we won’t be able to pay it back. There was always a possibility he could lose this lawsuit and have to refund the tariff money. We didn’t prepare for that possibility? He’s running the govt like he ran his casinos.

So this is really good. In a @traefik.io presentation at the #KubeCon Tech Field Day Exclusive they say that an(y) #AI interface is an API at its root and must be (a) treated as an API but ALSO (b) managed as an API _including in the prompt._ AI application-layer routing!

Keynote at #KubeCon just started. It’s good for a community to congratulate its achievements and look ahead optimistically to what’s next. If anything else pops I will post it here or in LinkedIn

I think the misinformation is secondary and influences because of the racism and sexism that lead the way

H/t @blackamazon.bsky.social
I found this piece sad too, but mostly because it is part of a years-long effort by progressives to understand what "really" animates Trump voters.

We already know! It is racism, misogyny and misinformation. I know that sounds condescending or whatever but it's simply what all evidence suggests.

Well, yeah.

This might be THE fundamental problem with being a creator now. A human-psychological problem
I've also noticed that some ppl who claim they're simply not paying you bc you're on Substack, go verrry quiet when you let them know that you're on Patreon now. I think some people are more concerned with being sanctimonious online than actually financially supporting creators, which is a bummer

"normies do not care about this thing and so it is no use raising a stink" is imho just an excuse for not doing politics, which is the job of making normies care about something

Hey everyone, the account @authorminjinlee.bsky.social is a scammer impersonating the real (and amazing) Lee Min Jin.

I've reported to BlueSky but if you follow, they'll immediately DM.

The real Lee Min Jin is at @minjinlee.bsky.social.

I gotta say, the videos NetApp has on display at NetApp INSIGHT are really well produced: images, story, sound, editing, all really buttoned up

Whenever I see men complain about the male loneliness crisis or unique emotional/psychological issues faced by men, it’s very clear that they just don’t see women as full people capable of experiencing the exact same emotions they do

Starting off NetApp INSIGHT today at the morning keynote, CEO George Kurian calls this “the era of data-enabled intelligence” and says the data challenge is that “80% of the time on an AI project is spent wrangling data”

So. This is not a case of a headline disconnected from the text. The article really does make the case that words have no meaning; that “calm” and “hellscape” can honestly refer to the same thing.

The range of meanings of these two words don’t overlap
"Depends on who you ask" framing is one of the most grating tics in modern political journalism. Objective reality exists and your job is to describe it.
A classic case of irresponsible both-sidesism from the NYT. The story is that Trump and MAGA propagandists are lying about Portland to incite a conflict, not that there are different views of the matter.

you are missing the point. the point isnt that the computer can feel cruelty, the point is that the hater is using the computer as a proxy for their cruelty. it trains us to be cruel. it accommodates us to certain behaviors. like stomping on a bed of wildflowers.
