Slowly turning away from winter and switching towards early spring next week in the South. Temperatures running 10-15° above normal for much of the region from this Sunday to next Wednesday.

This bucks the trend of anomalous cold we saw most of January. First full week of February looks quite warm.

❄Overheard some folks in public wondering where the snow's gone in Greenville. It is true that we are in a snow drought -- Longest on record, in fact -- in Greenville at 1,059 days.

No snow expected over the next week. On average it's January when we get the most, so there's still plenty of time!
