Watching Labour MPs take a wrecking ball to nature makes me so angry & so sad. Their action tonight voting down amendments to the #PlanningBill intended to protect wildlife & habitats from destruction is so reckless & so counterproductive. People didn’t vote Labour for this 👇

This week is #TransAwarenessWeek.

Trans people have the same right to freedom, joy, safety, and healthcare as everyone else. But in the UK and across the world, their rights are under attack.

We need to stand up to transphobia and guarantee everyone’s dignity.

Mosquitoes have been found in Iceland for the first time after the island nation experienced record-breaking heat this spring, raising concerns that warming temperatures are allowing new insect species to survive in areas once thought too cold:
Record heat sees mosquitoes reach Iceland for the first time
Mosquitoes have been discovered in Iceland for the first time following record-breaking warmth this spring. The insects, confirmed as Culiseta annulata, were found near Reykjavík by local naturalist Björn Hjaltason. Scientists say the unprecedented heat, which saw Iceland's highest May temperature on record, may be allowing the hardy species to survive in the once mosquito-free nation, a sign of the rapid ecological impacts of a warming climate.
