The right has been on a campaign of violent political terror for decades, what was remarkable about the murder of the United Health CEO was that the political violence broke containment from their ideological uses. Abortion clinic bombings. Oklahoma City. Atlanta Olympic Park. Sikh temple shooting.
Every political simpleton who thought gunning down a greedheaded health industry CEO was righteous and badass can now reflect today on the horror in Minnesota and know this fresh American hell will not be compartmentalized. They can. But they won't. That's what raw ideology does to human beings.

ICE is the Gestapo. Centrist media said that the leftist call to “Abolish ICE” was out of touch and ridiculously unrealistic.
But if we ever get democracy back ICE and everyone in it has to go. We can’t have a reformed ICE. “Gestapo Lite” or “Cool Ranch Stasi” won’t be supportable.

@ndhapple.bsky.social They’re STILL short-turning L trains on weekends at Union Sq! Given that the elevators and 6-7 Av ramp are fully completed, I have to wonder if they didn’t just cut subway crew schedules a while ago to be accommodating of delays in the work and never brought them back

I just submitted my application to a private vet school in the Caribbean that accepts my existing credentials as prerequisites.
I would have to get private loans to be able to go. Which isn’t likely. Most people who go have parents who co-sign for them. But I do want to try.

I’ve been trying to find a way to describe what Musk is doing to the government. He’s not taking orders from the White House, he’s not pursuing any kind of consistent ideological project other than wreaking havoc. He’s not following any laws and appears to exist outside any other authority.
