They'll do a shit job at training you anyway. Better off doing an apprenticeship if you're able-bodied enough to join.
Serving as a stormtrooper in an imperial military should be stigmatized. The entire war machine is set up as a giant jobs program, and it's the last vehicle for social mobility left in the US. That's on purpose. You shouldn't have to be a spear carrier for the empire to afford college.
