For me Rice has to start tonight... with Zubi and odegaard out & Merino probably starting upfront...I think a midfield without Rice would be a risk...I'd rather lose him for Bayern than risk tonight...beating atletico means bayern & inter are now free hits...6 wins gets you top 8

For me there's definitely some players who need minutes in their legs tonight in case theyre needed in the EPL or CL...so I'd be starting, kepa, White, Mosquera, Hincapie, MLS, Norgaard and Nwaneri. I'd also start Rice and play Merino upfront to give Gyokores a rest, with Trossard & Dowman wide

last couple days I've seen a lot of gooners gathering evidence and strongly pushing back on the "boring set piece FC" narrative... and fair play to them. Personally I couldn't give a shit what the media and rival fans are saying... as long as we're doing whatever it takes to win football matches 🔴⚪️

What a squad, normally theres a handful youre thinking OK you're in the photo, but other than cups you're not playing much, this lot are all competing for serious minutes...norgaard prob depends on zubi & rice fitness & last season he was captain at Brentford! That's the level of this squad, insane!

For anyone losing their heads over last night... we had front 3 of gabi, gyokores and saka ... with Nwaneri and merino behind and the norgaard behind them... of course it wasn't fluid... that lineup has never played together before... its preseason

Obviously we need a striker ... and gyokores is clearly a good one... but I'm not convinced he's that good that we should spend the entire summer chasing him... might be time to pivot if sporting continue to act like this
