Lords Heseltine & Kinnock seem more alive to these self-evident truths than most members of the Commons. Similarly, I find thinkers with direct lived experience of far right dictatorship, Greeks of a certain age for example, crystal clear about what’s happening now.
“You described Reform and other parties across Europe today as among the 'right wing equivalents of the fascists in the 1930s'. Why?”

“Because that’s what they are”

@vicderbyshire.bsky.social asks Lord Heseltine about remarks he made at Conservative Party Conference.

@mrjamesob.bsky.social LBC are part of the problem listening to Nick Ferrai before you. He was desperate to push the agenda with Rachel Reeves and had a Reform voter call in to admit he hadn't read any Reform policies but he will vote for them. Ferrai ignored it and that's the problem.

The Prime Minister is hoping that a state visit from a close friend of Jeffrey Epstein will dial down the furore surrounding the Prime Minister’s decision to promote a close friend of Jeffrey Epstein. And it’s probably the best chance he’s got.

Nigel Farage was asked by Rep. Moskowitz if the Epstein List should be released. He seemed more than uncomfortable with the question and tried to hit around the bush.

This'll be very telling when he comes to speak. If Farage uses his appearance in front of that committee to encourage a foreign state to bully his own country, he'll have crossed a very specific line.
Politico: "The Sun has seen evidence to [a US] committee submitted by Nigel Farage in which he suggests the White House should use “diplomacy and trade” in the free speech battle, which sounds like calling for Britain to be bullied into a law change."

Is Farage calling for sanctions AGAINST the UK?

@mrjamesob.bsky.social Did you pick up on Trump claiming in congress that they had spent $8m on making mice transgender?

The word was was actually "Transgenic" involving administering hormone therapies to mice to understand their effects on human health conditions such as breast cancer and HIV.

Arteta needs to find a way to break it down like the other top teams.
