my uncle passed away in his sleep last night/early this morning. it was peaceful at least and his last few days were filled with friends and family and laughter. and my aunt said when she called to tell my mom the news that he got to be the husband and father he never thought he could be

it's kinda amazing how much better i feel overall with treating what does seem to be pmdd....you mean i don't have to try to pull myself out of a debilitating depression that lasts for 1-2 weeks on top of my regular depression

and dont get me twisted on the definition of "easy" bc i KNOW masks are expensive. i live it. but if you're shelling out hundreds to thousands to go to something like a stadium concert or an anime convention, you CAN and SHOULD build $20 worth of masks into your budget and put that shit on.

it is likely we're going to continue to see interruptions to vaccine access. vaccines were never the solution they were marketed as, but they were a tool in the toolbox, and research funding for better vaccines is already jeopardized. you NEED to mask up, consistently.

disabled, high-risk people have had almost all of our access to fun and joy cut off because others won't mask, and won't ask or require it of the people around them. and that's what leads us to very dark places. you are protecting yourself and others through an action that's frankly very easy.

masking is critically important in places others NEED to be (transit, grocery store, doctor's office) but i don't want it to get lost that the more you mask in "non-necessity" spaces like conventions, concerts, weddings--you are making those spaces safer for disabled people who deserve to be there.

i'm not asking ya'll to mask up everywhere. but can you at least mask up in places that ill and disabled folks *have* to go to? grocery stores? pharmacies? appointments? government appointments? keep some masks in your car. keep a couple in your backpack.

my uncle's cancer is coming back in full force after a few months respite after his medical trip to germany so....i think this is really gonna be it this time 😭😭 and he's had to spend the last few months of his life fighting with his fuck ass younger sister while she tries to extort him for money

I truly believe that part of the reason people keep getting fooled by genAI "physical" products (fantasy furniture, crochet patterns, clothing, etc) is because they were never exposed to a craft to any notable degree.

We are slowly loosing so many skills in modern society. Sewing, wood working, farming. We are more and more dependent on industry and we need to take some of that agency back.
