Four words solve this:

“Bond is a Timelord”
James Bond’s death in No Time to Die is causing a nightmare for the next film. Writers are stuck because Bond “was blown to pieces.”

Anthony Horowitz, author of three 007 novels, says:

“You can't have him wake up in shower and saying it was all a dream."

The far right is obsessed with Lord of the Rings and Musk keeps posting about "hobbits" because modern scientific racism owes more to fantasy worlds and gaming systems than genetic science, and they see both as effective mediums for right-wing propaganda www.theatlantic.com/ideas/2025/1...

i don’t think the main problem with the american church is “too many of them refuse to be scammed by a lady who is obviously lying.”
There is a lady on TikTok pretending to have a baby that has gone without formula all night — she is calling churches around the country to ask if they can help.

Some of them are really embarrassing themselves. Especially the mega-churches.

Sounds like the Seattle City Council meeting the week after WTO N30. Dozens of people with horror stories of unprovoked police violence against innocent people - protestors and bystanders alike.
This preliminary injunction hearing in Chicago is just like... normie white liberal after normie white liberal describing how federal agents beat them, shot at them with pepper balls, pointed guns at them, threw flashbangs and tear gas at them

Excommunicate Vance at the very least.
Trump and Vance have xenophobia’d their way into Christian persecution
BREAKING: After ICE refuses to allow detained migrants to receive the Eucharist, Pope Leo calls on Trump and Vance to respect migrants‘ dignity and religious liberty.

“They must allow ministers to assist with their needs. They've been separated from their families and no one knows what happens.”

Phenomenal thread
Big day at U.S. District Court in D.C. where Sean Dunn, the D.C. Sandwich Guy, is on trial for misdemeanor assault of a federal officer.

Border Patrol agent Gregory Lairmore is on the stand narrating surveillance video of the sammie toss.

'Now he’s struck me with the sandwich,' Lairmore says.

I gotta give it up to the writers tho. If NYC elects a Muslim mayor on the day Dick Cheney died, that is one hell of a slow played story arc. Every time you want to fire 2025's writers room they give you a little narrative resolution as a treat.

desire paths are cool and fascinating mass psychology.

one neat thing about the main campus of the University of Houston is that the planners knew about them so when the campus was originally built, they didnt do many walkways. they waited for desire paths to form and then paved them. very clever!
This picture tells a story about who we are as humans:
we're monkeys that want to see the view from the hill, because it might be pretty, surprising, or neat.

We're driven by discovery, novelty, curiosity.

But you'll also notice how uniform the patterning is.

Let's talk about Desire Paths.

Okay,
SNAP isn't technically a welfare program. It is a USDA program.
Specifically, a subsidy program. Not for the hungry but for the farmers, food producers, and processors.

Apparently there was a Gatsby party at Mar a Lago, while Trump is trying to kick 42 million off SNAP

If 1-2 Philly comrades out there find yourself going hungry due to the SNAP shut off, drop me a line. I usually get more than I need from my weekly farm share and can add a few grocery store items as well. I’ll delete this if/when anyone takes me up on it.
