I've decided to watch every film shown on series 1 of Moviedrome, originally broadcast May-Sept 1988 on BBC2 πŸ“½οΈ

More info on Moviedrome and inspiration for this random pursuit can be found here πŸ‘‡

I can't be arsed to start a Tumblr blog so will post reviews here instead 🧡
Tough result. Flukey 90+6 mins equaliser

Great effort though. Just a bit weak off the bench to see it out

Bent ref too. Gave us absolutely nothing all night

Great episode and just because I only saw it a few days ago a quick shout-out for Lynch/Oz which is a no fantastic insight into Lynch, Oz and movies in general

Headed over there next week to catch Yellow Swans

Memorable previous Corsica shows include Sunn O))) (duo version) which is one of the loudest gigs I've ever been to and Fushitsusha which was absolutely amazing and also incredibly loud!

It's angry internet blokes whose football team is losing

If the team was winning there would be zero protests

The reason I know this is because everything they are angry about in 2025/26 was the same in 2020-2023

Except the team was winning then

They are really just angry that the team is losing

I respect and advocate for fans to protest. I don't even disagree with the issues that they are protesting about...

The timing is deeply suspect. The aims are not realistic - billionaires do not sell football clubs because fans tell them to

And digging out other fans is a hard No

Which is funny because when WHU played Burnley last weekend the X branding is prominently front and centre by the tunnel and dugouts

A PL club partnering with X in 2026 should be answering questions - from the league and their own fanbase

Yes true, it's not as bad as walkouts or not showing up

The whole thing is flawed and I question the motives of the people behind it
February 9, 2026 at 6:59 PM
Bang out of fucking order to use terms like "fair-weather" and "non-compliant" to describe the lack of engagement in this frankly stupid protest

Maybe they are busy supporting the team to try and stay in the league?

Or, they think it's a dumb protest?

Get in the fucking bin with this shite

#whu
Support for Hammers United's "red card" campaign is growing, judging by the response at Burnley on Saturday (just three minutes after West Ham had taken the lead).

A struggle to replicate in Stratford due to sheer number of fair-weather, non-compliant and non-WHU fans present.

It's excellent. I'd never heard of them before but can see they have a bunch of older stuff that I'll check out

This description sounded intriguing so I checked it out and it's really great

And tbf Mr Norman did a decent job describing what it sounds like. Because it's all over the place. In a good way

We play before Forest too. If we win they go into that game level on points with us

It's an accounting move. We want the player

We want to push the spend into next season's accounts

We don't want the player. We are happy to lend the player and create a squad place and defer the fee

It's a nonsense, yes
February 7, 2026 at 10:59 AM
The stockpiling of talent is ridiculous. Squad sizes and number of subs won't change any time soon so my thinking is to reduce these fugazi "borrow players now and pay later" deals will make clubs think more carefully about how they spend and maybe open up more bench places for youth players
February 7, 2026 at 10:25 AM
I should add the disclaimer that I do not have kids. But I cannot say that anything that is on currently looks particularly appealing

The title of this alone has caught my attention!

The answer is No. At least if my local cinema is anything to go buy...
February 7, 2026 at 9:57 AM
Shit situation. But Villa agreed to a deal and if they want to end the loan they need to pay the fee

The answer I've long advocated for: ban loans between PL clubs

PL clubs should not be lending each other players. Buy/sell them or play them

Aston Villa’s Unai Emery asks Liverpool to change Harvey Elliott loan terms
The manager said the situation was "damaging" for the 22-year-old, who has played only five times this season.
