In the past 4 months I've run 220 km, raising £211 in support of @wwf.org.uk to fight climate change and preserve nature. Thanks to everyone who helped with a donation, you've been amazing!

Our editorial on the haemaropoietic microenvironment from embryonic development to aging and disease is now published!
It opens the special issue that I've organised and co-edited for the journal Frontiers in Molecular Biosciences.

Run 135 km so far, only a couple of minor injuries, and collected £118 to help WWF preserve nature and fight climate change!
Can you help me reach £200?

People worldwide are already feeling the effects of #climatechange: droughts, fires, flooding, heatwaves.

I'm fundraising for WWF to disinvest from #fossilfuels and leave future generations a better planet?

Please donate today, no amount is too small!

Congrats @giocanu.bsky.social from UCL's Ruhrberg Lab for spotting a new hematopoietic embryonic cell type!

It was such a nice experience to discuss and contribute to this project 😃

A Pax3 lineage gives rise to transient haematopoietic progenitors
Summary: Pax3-expressing cells generate neural crest and paraxial mesoderm. Here, we show that they also produce transient haematopoietic progenitors capable of generating embryonic myeloid and erythr...

Now published in Development!

We show that a #Pax3 lineage has hemogenic potential and produces transient #blood progenitors in the developing #embryo.

End of this dog-walking challenge.
We passed the 100km (60miles) target by a few km, collected more than £200, and together with the thousands of dog walkers, we raised more than £650.000!!!!

The quality of the journey is more important than those fleeting moments when you actually arrive at your destination, because most of your life is the journey. There will always be problems to solve and something to do.
You can’t wait until you solve your problems to be happy.

Simpson predicted the 2024 US election.
In a 1996 episode, aliens Kang and Kodos impersonated President candidates and, when unmasked, they convinced Americans that voting a third party candidate would be a waste of votes, so Kang was elected. Take out the aliens, and you got Biden vs Trump 2024.

Maestro, a movie so much Oscar/Bafta-nominated, as it is boring. Bradley Cooper's acting is great, his directing a bit more average, but the movie is just slooow. Also, was this the year of the black&white vs colour? (see Oppenheimer and Poor Things). Although Maestro was the one that used it worse.

Forget Barbie, the real feminist movie of the year is Poor Things.
