Prevailing wisdom is that "ladder of political engagement" has voting as the first rung. That if a person isn't voting, they cannot, by definition get them to engage in, say, civil resistance. And that getting them to vote is the first step to political engagement.

Yep, many building products are made of plastic. Plastic is derived from fossil fuels. One of the most polluting plastics is vinyl (aka polyvinyl chloride / PVC).
