So far this year I've read #IronWidow, #HowlsMovingCastle and The Fall of Gondolin (one of the big Lord of the Rings tales from the First Age). Not a bad start. Next up is Emily Wilson's translation of the Odyssey, seeing as how I read her Iliad translation last year. #Booksky #reading

Literally. We're on mostly stolen land here, even treaty land. We're ALL immigrants, just some of us have families that have been here for 200+ years and aren't being actively exploited as much anymore. America was an experiment, a good *idea*, but it's failed to reach it's full potential.

Been using Firefox as my browser at home for ages. Got it for my phone; no regrets. Amazing how fewer targeted ads I get now.
TLDR; You might want to stop using Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge.

Been using Firefox as my browser at home for ages. Got it for my phone; no regrets. Amazing how fewer targeted ads I get now.
Am so torn between playing it safe & just saying 'fuck it' to almost everything. I want to write & actually post unhinged #feminist #poetry wout worrying that it will hurt future job prospects. We can't talk about climate change, social justice or anything else without first using a feminist lens.

Occasional reminder that there’s no, “it’s too late, its over” for anthropogenic climate change. Every molecule of CO2 that doesn’t go into the atmosphere makes a difference. Preventing 0.1 degree of warming makes a difference. Every bit of climate resilience we build together makes a difference.

Hope is hard to come by these days, but not impossible. There have been some wins, but it feels like drops in the bucket compared to the ocean of rage, lies & greed we're up against. A person could die trying to survive on those drops. How far can a mouthful of hope take you in a desert of hate?
