Our new preprint is here! We show eosinophils are retained in the bone marrow by everyone’s (our😊) favourite atypical #chemokine receptor ACKR2.
#Eosinophil education of #monocytes promotes differentiation to #macrophages and bacterial elimination during E.coli #infection. Please read and share.
Eosinophils promote monocyte to macrophage differentiation and anti-bacterial immunity
Chemokine receptors control cell migration within the body. Here we reveal a novel interaction between eosinophils and monocytes in the bone marrow, indirectly controlled by the atypical chemokine rec...

Really happy to share a link to our work showing that anti-progestin therapy could help prevent breast cancer before menopause.
Published today in Nature, the study suggests this could be a new way to stop breast cancer before it starts: urldefense.com/v3/__https:/...

Not all chemokine signaling is about cell migration!

In mouse erythroblasts, CXCL12-bound CXCR4 enters the nucleus to control gene transcription, trigger calcium bursts, and drive red blood cell formation—especially enucleation.

🚨 New McSorley lab paper just out in Cell Reports!

Very happy to see this published - it has been a lot of work, and its turned into a really nice story.

In it, we show that HpARI+HpBARI can be used as vaccines

The murine intestinal nematode Heligmosomoides polygyrus bakeri (Hpb) modulates the host immune response via the Hpb alarmin release inhibitor (HpARI)…

So excited to share our first neuro focused paper from the lab, we show that CXCL4 (PF4) is transported into the brain by proteoglycans within the endothelial glycocalyx and that GAG binding also mediates the pro neurogenesis effects of CXCL4. www.biorxiv.org/content/10.1...
