Indeed. When they rounded up the Japanese Americans, myself and my family included, for internment during WWII out of fear over Japanese spies and saboteurs, two thirds of us were U.S. citizens.

Visited Transylvania recently and was really struck by the beauty and history of the region. Can highly recommend Paul Kenyon's book Children of the Night for anyone who is interested in the past, present and potential future of this fascinating country.
