"kubectl diff" isn't a diff in the conventional sense, it's more of a "what would happen if I run 'kubectl apply' on this file." Kubernetes has to deal with multiple controllers updating different fields on the same resource, schemas, etc and this is why diff is not always intuitive in kubectl.

Awesome to see the Blue Jays make it back to the World Series after 30+ years. Hopefully they can win it all.

Tried out the Argo CD Agent with this recently merged PR and happy to see that the Principal and Agent now work fine in the same cluster.

Probably the only time I'll give kudos to Donald Trump but the Gaza peace deal is a good thing. Hopefully it holds and larger progress can be made.

Here is a blog on using the Argo CD Agent 0.4.1 with OpenShift GitOps 1.18. As a reminder, the Agent is currently Technical Preview at Red Hat so not intended for production environments until GA. However feedback as we move to GA would be greatly appreciated.

Trying out the Ghostty terminal again after an update on Arch, some good improvements everywhere. The main thing it is still missing is a scrollbar but I'm going to try getting by with a keybinding to move forwards and backwards between prompts.

Trying out the Argo CD Agent for the first time, really impressed with the event driven architecture it is using under the hood. Ensures resiliency when network connections are spotty, pods restarted, etc.

Saw Caught Stealing tonight, excellent movie. I was expecting a zany adventure but man that was dark. Austin Butler was awesome in it, the cat should get a best supporting actor nomination.

That was an unbelievable game from the Bills, no way they should have won it but somehow they did.

I've pushed out a pre-release version of an Argo CD Extension that adds an AI Assistant to the Argo CD user interface. I'm looking for feedback since up to this moment I've been the only one using and testing it. You can find the release with instructions here:

I had a CT Scan done a few months ago for some sinus/ear issues and they sent me the imaging on a CDROM for which I had to go out and buy a USB DVDRom reader. Man I totally forgot how pokey and slow these things are but in its day it was considered spectacular and revolutionary technology.

Rabbit just chilling in my front yard when I got home. A few years ago we had two rabbits that were a couple that visited periodically and my wife referred to the them as "fluffy fuckers" as there was some inappropriateness from time to time. I miss those two but maybe this one is a descendant.
