I used to love the Ancient Egypt exhibit at the Field Museum when I was a kid. It's great, really worth seeing if you're ever in Chicago. Anywho, they had a whole section dedicated to mummified animals, especially cats. Cats were sacred in the ancient Egyptian religion, and killing them was seen

Hate when scifi/fantasy uses fake units of measurement instead of just using normal words every reader already knows. Star Wars novel described character as "standing just over 1.8 meters tall." Fun word to say I guess but nobody from normal earth has any way to know what it means
