Nope, I’ve no idea. Not in my wheelhouse of expertise. Though now I’m curious to know the answer.
A question for anyone who'd know (ag, fiber folks?):

Linen uses less water than cotton, correct?
And you'd harvest it not that differently than hay or straw?

So why is cotton preferred? Just historical precedent? Processing? Dye? Outdated perceptions of difficult care?

This has been my political theory about Smith. She wants Albertans to make her a US governor via separation. She wants to be a US governor, not a Canadian premier.
When Queen of Stupid Danielle Smith gets done, Alberta is going to look more like 🇺🇸Alabama than a province of Canada.
But she’s just the tool of her Maple MAGA supporters, who dominate there.

I can’t believe there are people who oppose free vaccines. They have zero possibility of ‘system abuse’ because who tf wants unnecessary shots, and every shot given out personally saves you money and personally makes you healthier.
The vast majority of Canadians agree that the COVID-19 vaccine should be free — except Conservatives:

🔴 LPC: 90%
🟠 NDP: 91%
⚜️ BQ: 79%
🔵 CPC: 44%
Large majority of Canadians agree that the COVID-19 vaccine should be free

A historic turning point for clean heating in Europe: For the first time, in the first half of 2025 sales of heat pumps in Germany have surpassed those of gas boilers.

This is a big milestone, demonstrating that the transition away from fossil fuels in our buildings is not just a future ambition.

OVER A MILLION USERS

DISCUSS SUICIDE WITH CHATGPT

EVERY *WEEK*

what the fuck are we DOING here
Panera’s moderately caffeinated lemonade was loosely associated with 2 deaths before it was taken off market.

This article alone has 4 examples of ChatGPT encouraging young people to commit suicide, and OpenAI’s own public stats estimate over a million users discuss suicide with ChatGPT each week.
I fully believe in the corporate death penalty and believe we would be a better world if OpenAI lost its corporate charter and was forcibly dissolved.
