Kristen Dunst is so good in Roofman that just by virtue of standing next to Channing Tatum, she adds so much credibility to his performance and character

It was maybe a mistake to watch the most recent two part film adaptation of Three Musketeers. I thought because it was French it would be sticking to the book but the opposite appears true. Almost everything is changed and rearranged, which makes for a badly paced and muddled experience overall

Just rewatched the new trilogy again and Halloween Ends rocks so hard. It would be a great double bill with the most recent Crow reboot. Some great Gothically romantic cinema, both failed by modern audiences. This films are spiritually 90s

Finished reading the Three Musketeers and I sank the whole thing in just over a week. It's so stupidly readable. You can't put it down

Sitting a work just imagining how this time next week I'll be sat for One battle after another in VistaVision and then a screening of Frankenstein. Can't come quick enough

Eddington a modern masterpiece of western schizoid horror that writhes around in your head until every one and everything falls into that writhing pit it's created. Gotta be an uncomfortable watch for Americans, no wonder they split on it

Not keen on biopics but the most affecting one I've seen is At Eternitys Gate, it will never not be funny to me that a major meme was born from this otherwise very heady attempt at a first hand impression of his life

Watched vanilla sky so many times as a teenager on a preowned rental vhs, seeing it for the first time in years. Can still remember so many lines and just realised the 'Your whole stories fulla holes!' guy is Michael Shannon, class

Crazy how much bite First Omen has for a studio film. Actually shocking sequences and well rounded in ways few studio horrors usually are. Like the conjuring but meaner and darker

Boy and the Heron has joined me wee library. Third time with this one and being reminded after a year just how good it is. Probably my favourite music in a Ghibli. Their blu rays always look SO good

Yeah @josholson.bsky.social is right. This is not ignorance, it's propaganda. They don't really care if they look stupid to people with basic history knowledge

music from the beast got me in a chokehold. Similar to Phantom Thread in the feel of it, real gothic romance vibe to the theme. Can't tell if I want Lea Seydoux or to be her
