Introducing the Apple Schmatta
Listen. This "inspiration" is unacceptable.

You've gotta at least say it was inspired by the traditional Scottish sporran or invent some personal story like "So I was in my kitchen, high as a kite, and then a DISHCLOTH stood up and recited the entirety of THE JABBERWOCKY and then ATE MY PHONE..."

One time I started watching a baseball game, got on my bike and went to entire football game, biked home, and the baseball game was still on (this post is about the Seattle mayoral election)

I've been talking about this for ages and I'm so glad somebody devoted a real, fleshed out article to the topic of my wild ranting: www.theatlantic.com/culture/2025...

I heard a rumor about a place serving green noodles, a la my beloved Shanghai Garden (BDE) and got a little too excited. As soon as I saw the color, I knew it was all wrong.

My niche traffic complaint of the day is that by making 85th and Greenwood no right on red, they’ve eliminated the absolute safest time to turn right (when the traffic to the right has a left turn arrow)

Nothing beats “dollar rice” where the cheapest among us could get just a rice-packed styrofoam container with the sauce and meat debris ladled over top for—you guessed it—$1.
Loving that ever since the east coast learned about Chicken Teriyaki from Kenji, Epicurious has jumped on the band wagon.
None of them will ever know the pleasure of paying for a styrofoam container filled with the sweetest gloopiest grilled chicken in quarters.
