Video games, transit, more local politics than national, and some odds and ends
For those that I haven't told yet, my mom passed late Sunday night.

Independent of that, I've been away from social media, and I can't tell if that will stay the same. Maybe the distraction will be good. Popping into streams that don't know yet has been a fine way to pretend it hasn't happened.

I know Reddit is a cesspool and all, but boy has it reaffirmed my choice to pursue city and state jobs exclusively. The games that people on employment subreddits have played on them would have me losing my mind.

Wild to think that all of the antisemitic Soros-isms were projections for what Limbaugh had done for decades

Antitrust critics of Abundance claim homebuilding oligopolies are holding back supply and driving up prices, esp in Texas.

I did something really simple. I called up their sources.

Everyone I spoke to told me the same thing: Their claims are bullshit.

The Anti-Abundance Critique on Housing Is Dead Wrong
Antitrust critics say that homebuilding monopolies are the real culprit of America’s housing woes. I looked into some of their claims. They don’t hold up.

Corporate donors are spending big to attack our campaign. We have something money can’t buy, though: people!

Vote and turn in those ballots, and, if you have time, canvass or phonebank for our campaign.

This is your city!

How do people find all these no-name financial scams? Like why am I only recently hearing about 37% interest Chime loans in the last couple years? Baby that's worse than a credit card! Where's Elizabeth Warren?!

Even before my last haircut (well over a year ago) I kept quite a bit of length, so this feels absolutely wild

Today's the day!
Race day tomorrow! We know how much everyone loves our cartoon bus (design courtesy of Francesca Oaksford) so we got a bunch of stickers to hand out to race participants!

We'll see you at 5 tomorrow at the SW corner of Denny Park!

So this is it huh? Trapped in what was supposed to be my survival job while authoritarianism takes the US even further (in addition to personal stuff I mentioned before?)

Oh right, I'm least senior in my position so I could still lose that

Join us next Thursday, July 10th at 5 PM at Denny / Dexter to race Route 8! It’s easy to outwalk the L8, but can we still beat it while doing the cha-cha slide, hopscotching, or in a conga line? Join one of our race activities or bring your own creative things you can do while still beating the bus!

If NYC goes through with city -owned grocery stores, they could start doing city -owned stock (like vegetable) making as a way to cut back on food waste

In the words of Nelson Mandela: it always seems impossible until it’s done.

My friends, it is done. And you are the ones who did it.

I am honored to be your Democratic nominee for the Mayor of New York City.

My job hunt after my life blowing up wasn't the best, and I was lucky to find a survival job when I did.

But I've been watching a friend thoroughly document the immense steps he's taken in his job hunt that's now going a good 23 weeks. Someone that's been in his field a while, with tons of effort
