Genuinely this whole thread is great, nothing beats improv (or figure drawing, or an art swap, etc) for getting the bad thoughts out and hanging out and being silly with others
HIGHLY recommend looking up a local class. I found a really cute little art studio in my neighborhood with figure drawing classes and just Having A Place To Be once a week where people would greet me warmly and have a little small talk was enough to drag me out of a pretty deep spiral last year
