Everytime you go in Tesco, Sainsbury's, Morrisons etc, 5% of the money you spend goes straight to their profits.

Before 2022 it was 1.25%.

But free breakfasts for schoolchildren is what is ripping you off?

They really think you are stupid.

Don't be.

This is our unmissable chance to put public ownership of water back on the table.

The Government claims it needs to make £6bn of benefit cuts, here's a big long list of places where they could make far more money.

£42bn from ending Brexit.
£80bn Bank profits, even a 10% tax is £2bn more.
£120bn Energy Company profits, quadruple what they were before 2021.

Why doesn’t the UK government ensure that all the benefits due to people are paid? youtu.be/yWLd90c6Nf0?... £23 billion of benefits are not paid in the UK a year. Why is it that finding those who are due to be paid is not a national priority?

1 in 8 medically fit NHS patients cannot leave hospital for lack of social care.

UK Tory govt spent £50,000 to stop release of review into disabled man’s death.

DWP wrongly stopped his benefits, leaving him with no income.

He weighed 4.5 stone when body found, eight months after benefits were stopped.

Govt tried to conceal murder.

The story behind this picture.

This guy got bitten by a Rattlesnake it cost him £153k to save his life.

They charged him $83,341.25 for antivenom that cost them $2,500.

That is private healthcare and there was nothing he could do except pay.

Imagine caring more about "taxes" than keeping people in your community alive. All healthcare should be free and all medication / treatment accessible for all. Thinking otherwise is both homicidal and suicidal. If your country can afford to have billionaires, it can afford to provide for everyone.

But it isn't full public ownership.

1. The implicit deal behind Starmerism was this: you might not like what he stands for (or fails to stand for), but at least he knows how to win elections. If you want the Tories out, he’s your only hope.
But now? It’s as if he’s going out of his way to lose in 2029. 🧵

How privatisation works (and Thames Water is just the latest example).
1. A government takes a national asset built up with taxpayers' money and the work of public servants over many years, and hands it, for a fraction of its value, to a private company.
2. In doing so, it creates a monopoly.
