Without downloading any new pics, what's your energy going into 2025?
The increasing racial slur-icisation of the term 'Zionist' (and its concept) has radicalised so many young Israelis who otherwise would be basic resistlibs today.
I know a lot of young progressives think they're helping Palestine by doing this but it's extremely the opposite.

I generally like 'You'll Never Find Another Love Like Mine' but there's this moment towards the end (3:30ish) where a note is too high and Lou Rawls badly, badly misses it and it makes my brain squeal in agony every time I hear it.
I have no idea why they chose that take.

One thing that's lost me a lot of friends (or at the very least credibility) in the political space is the fact that I'm not shy about my opinion that campaigning is a crock of shit, at least once races go past a a certain size.

This is a good thread but I will take issue with this line as it downplays the parallel streaming has with the onset of Soundscan, particularly early on, which also created monstrous interminable chart runs.
There was more variety then than now, sure, but a collapse compared to the decades prior.

To get more scientific though, I think there are multiple factors impacting music right now that didn't affect the 90's. To list:
1. It's much easier for old songs to stay forever or blow up and occupy chart spots compared to the 90's. TikTok, streaming, etc. ensures this. 2/8
