my favorite aspect of how ANDOR ends is how the villains do suffer, but not at the hands of the protagonists, because fascism eats its own even while it has the upper hand

That was a fucking masterpiece start to finish. WHAT A SHOW. No notes. Every cast member, every plotline, the ending 😭 Destroyed me. I wish Star Wars was always this good, because that was the best story I've ever seen on TV. #andor

Also note how the Empire only let approved newscastors in to report, and those newscastors repeatedly called the Ghorman terrorists when it was the Empire doing the terror.

Mon called it what it was: a genocide.

Sounds very familiar.

The latest episodes of #Andor show how authoritarianism becomes ordinary — how people get crushed by systems pretending to keep order. We break it down in our article on the show as a metaphor for American fascism: www.wired.com/story/star-w...
Star Wars’ ‘Andor’ Season 2 Depicts the Banality of American Fascism
The franchise’s Disney era has been defined by toothless politics, but “Andor” Season 2 is a vivid metaphor for America’s descent into authoritarianism.

I’m just gonna say this: Let Syril Karn’s arc serve as a lesson to all men right now. Especially the young men contributing to the startling turns we’ve seen in voter stats. Let it be a fucking guiding example of where it goes. #Andor

And how we speak about Gaza as well.
"The death of truth is the ultimate victory of evil."

~ From Andor, season 2, episode 9. As stated by Mon Mothma, in her speech to the senate.

This is the goal of fascist regimes throughout history. This should sound very familiar to Americans now.

This is exactly what is happening here.

No spoilers, but #starwars #andor fans -- these three episodes are one point in time, next three next week is a time jump. We may not get some answers from this week 🫠😭

What a start to season 2 of #Andor!!! Some of the best Star Wars to date I think, edge of my seat the whole time.

I'll discuss more in depth after spoiler period has passed but what a poignant few episodes to the time. I really hope Ep 3 helps some see real life more empathetically. #starwars

Heads up to any #andor fans
No spoilers, because only bad nerds spoil, but this is a necessary trigger warning for anyone sensitive to representations of sexual violence for #Andor Season 2 Ep. 3.

I don’t believe this topic should be prohibited in media. For some, compassion

If you read only one thing today, it needs to be this. The way this ends is going to be so so bad for us all. They're stripping women's right to vote, kidnapping people and sending them to gulags, defying court orders -- they are planning to send anyone who dissents. This is Gilead.

A seamstress named Elsy Noemi Berrios was forcibly detained by masked agents who did not present a warrant.

Elsy is about 52 years old & has an asylum case pending in court.

Her teenage daughter filmed this terrifying scene.

If they can do it to her, they can do it to you.

My life lately has been consumed with karate for the kids. Including drive time, it'll be about 29 hrs this week. I split it with my husband but on days like today where I did drop off, pick up, work, karate, homework, dinner and bedtime routine... PHEW.

Idk how moms do multiple activities!!!
