Agree.

Sen Hassan, asked what will happen if Republicans don't carry out the deal, "Well, shame on them."

This is not what people were mobilizing for on Oct 18.

This thinking is what got us here to begin with.
“Both sides were fighting for position, and Dems, if you look at the polls, are ending up in a better one than they were when they started. They elevated their best issue — health care — and set the stage for voters to connect higher premiums with Republican rule.” www.nytimes.com/2025/11/10/o...

No amount of body armor, balaclava or bullets can keep you from feeling shame.

Quit or be held accountable. The history will demand it.
Cry me a river.

Maybe they’re burned out from terrorizing families & traumatizing kids. From dragging moms out of courtrooms. Or chasing day laborers through parking lots like it’s a game.

If that’s what’s breaking them, maybe they should ask themselves who they’re really serving.

*Morgan Freeman voice* Yes, in fact, Stephen Miller was referring to ⚪️👨‍🦳 when he said this… he just didn’t realize it at the time.
Is Stephen Miller saying white people ruined California? It feels like that's what he's saying to a reader of history.

I think it’s more important to recognize that every community has the right to defend itself against people being kidnapped by unidentifiable thugs. Love TPM and appreciate the work you do.

On one hand this shit is crazy.

On the other hand… that’s actually quality staffwork and I wonder why Leftists are so stodgy about popular education being accessible. Lol
Everyone knows Trump doesn’t read, but this is bonkers…

Tulsi Gabbard is considering bringing in a Fox News producer to turn Trump’s daily intel briefings into Fox-style broadcasts to compensate.

NOTE: Trump’s only taken 14 briefings as of May. Biden took 90. Obama took 63 in the same time frame.

If doing your job is a protest, you’re living in a dark place built on the bones of a better idea. Either correct this headline or admit that you’re actually saying we live in an autocratic state.
Breaking News: Newark's mayor, Ras Baraka, was arrested while he and three members of Congress from New Jersey were protesting at an immigration detention center in the city. He was taken to an ICE facility in Newark, his aides said. nyti.ms/3Z680Un

It definitely feels like something that will later be confirmed as true in a history book. Like we find out it was an elaborate plot sponsored by United Healthcare that went active post-assassination lmao

The people in my life often described as felons are some of the best people I know.
Nobody involved in social movements / direct action / social work / legal aid ever uses the word “felon” as a pejorative. This is a fundamental disconnect between moderates who love to dunk on Trump and those who work and organize every day on the front lines of injustice.

Pretty much when we decided terrorists didn't have human rights I think we set the future in motion where enemies of administrations would be labeled terrorists.

When we defended Abu Ghraib and Guantanamo.
when did everything become terrorism

Exactly. Thank you.
This right here. Spreading "perfect victim" or "innocence" narratives is dangerous and cedes ground on the fact that *all* people deserve dignity, humane treatment, and access to due process. Feeding into perfect victim or innocence narratives isn't just irresponsible messaging, it is copaganda.
It is really bothering me (understatement) that the message is “bring back that one innocent guy” and not “WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK SHUT DOWN THIS WHOLE OPERATION IMMEDIATELY.”

My issue isn’t that it is pointless and it’s frustrating to hear it framed that way. I’m pissed off that the only remedies ever offered are legal ones by people with legal expertise watching someone defy the law.
I see a lot of people falling into the "this is pointless" trap, and I can only say it so many ways — though I suspect I will have to write something specifically about it on this front — but the bottom line is that we must expect compliance. Anything less is just making noncompliance easier.
