The ‘biophilia hypothesis’ of Kellert and Wilson (1995) made Amanda Burton Smith curious about whether children who have developed a connection with nature and saw themselves as part of it, would be more inclined to play a role in protecting it.

One of Froebel’s most quoted phrases ‘everything connects’, succinctly summarises the concepts of interdependence, interactions & interconnections. Observing & analysing connections between children & adults helps us better understand each actor’s experience.
