I agree! But on Bluesky left-wing threats of political violence are rampant, while right-wing ones get quickly shouted down and reported. Other sites have other problems.
Let's be honest, there shouldn't be threats of political violence from anyone, regardless of their views. It's not how you behave in a civilised society.

Compare the abuse that Singal’s detractors are directing at him with the stuff that he actually posts and publishes. The notion that he’s the “bully” in this situation is insane.

You’re right that it isn’t a hard call, but you got it wrong.

the wealthiest man in the world having his mom go on TV to say she finds it "degrading" when people refer to him as the wealthiest man in the world rather than "the genius of the world" is some real tinpot dictatorship state-run TV shit
Elon's mom is on Fox buttering up her son and answering questions about whether anybody actually likes him. Cringe.

Brazil has responded more seriously to a former president attempting an auto-coup to illegally retain power after losing reelection, and to online disinformation that helped fuel it. The example puts the US to shame.
Maybe something to do with dictatorship in living memory, and thinking never again.

I would have enjoyed this news more if it had been announced with a massive strike, not in advance of one.

NYC is on fire because Eric Adams took a hatchet to the Parks Department budget, firing 51 forestry specialists who remove the dead trees and invasive species most likely to ignite during dry periods.

By cutting the exact people meant to keep the city's parks free from fallen, dead trees and keep the forests healthy, the mayor has set up a tinderbox that's already igniting.

This is the mentality that is addicted to alienating ever larger swaths of the country, including growing numbers of non-whites. Politically not effective.
Here's an idea. It's the same reason why "the country" decimated the continent's natives, enslaved Africans, still worships many of the slavers, barely became a fledgling democracy in 1965, and still prioritizes the needs of one demographic. Maybe that demographic just wants to keep its advantage?
Ok, cool. No room for introspection as to why the country was more repelled by progressives than by a kleptocratic authoritarian
