It was arguably, the most significant sports event in Maine history: the 1965 first-round knockout of Sonny Liston by Muhammad Ali (then Cassius Clay) in Lewiston's Colisée. Now, a statue will commemorate the event.

Muhammad Ali died on this day in 2016. He was “The People’s Champion” and an OG #altCitizen. Few have been so committed to leading by example and giving back. We all know him as the original GOAT athlete and champion but Ali believed he attained fame to achieve greater good for the people. (1/7)

This weekend my Muhammad Ali sculpture was unveiled in Lewiston, ME. It was great to celebrate the sculpture and the city of Lewiston with many people, including Maine Governor Janet Mills and Mayor of Lewiston Carl L. Sheline. Thanks to Charlie Hewitt and Tom Platz for making the project possible.

Visiting the studio of sculpture artist Zenos Frudakis tomorrow. A video I did about his “Freedom” (2000) sculpture posted in December went a little viral.

So, do y’all have any questions for him?! Will be making a new video about the visit.
