Isn’t there enough darkness and misery in the world already, without the beam of sunshine and joy that was Diane Keaton passing away on a Saturday evening? RIP Diane 😢

The hysterical reaction of certain commentators to today’s UK-EU agreement is something to behold.
The “surrender” of using e-gates when you go on holiday. The contempt for the “will of the people” of making education abroad more accessible. Rigorous debate is good. This nonsense is a waste of time.

Glad to see successful cooperation and positive deals made today at the EU-UK Summit.

What remains missing is recognition of the unique citizenship rights of Northern Irish people, who are birth-right EU citizens.

'The reset with the EU must be ambitious if we are to meet our economic, security and other objectives' - LabourList
If the opinion polls show that public opinion continues its gradual but relentless shift in favour of rejoining the EU, then surely smaller steps, at least, should be easier.

I note with interest right-wing media's total absence of any concerns about prominent BBC presenter Armstrong expressing his highly political opinions. As was always perfectly clear to many of us, the problem was not that Lineker had views, but the fact they didn't approve of his views.
