The great irony is that Trump will succeed in stopping the flow of immigrants, but not the way he thinks. Most came to the US because it represented the land of freedom. By turning it into a fascist police state, they’ll simply stop coming.

The great thing about science is that as a target of repression, it is completely unbiased. Throughout history it has been attacked by zealots and authoritarians from both the left and right in equal measure. #science #academicfreedom
